The formula derived from Ptolomeu and Simonite researches. Since then this wonderful principle has been developed by Noel Tyl one of the most avant-garde astrologers of our Era. Here it goes its formula: One degree=one year generally for every points ( Asc and Mh ant the nodal axis as well as the natal planets in counterclockwise motion).
The Sun is the vital luminary. Its light illuminates all planets in the System Solar. The planets come to life through the Sun’s energy. Normally we ask the computers to find the SA. After that we ask the computer to provide us with a double-ringed horoscope. Then combining it with transits we must be able to discover the accentuation of the angles as there is nothing more important than angles. The angles define our orientation to life. The Midheaven narrates the physical time and the Ascendant narrates the place.

A little bit of history:
At first the geographer, mathematician, astrologer and physicist Claudius Ptolemy restored the Babylonian concept of “ one degree equals one day “. Then he created a concept of arcs keyed to the Earth’s equator. He believed he could extend it to the natal horoscope into the future. Ptolemy equated the time it takes for one degree to pass the Midheaven, four minutes of sidereal time or in other words, 3.9890 minutes of mean solar time with a year of life. Thus, the first four minutes after birth would represent the first year of life; the next four minutes, to the second year of life, and so on. He called it the primary direction’s system.
Bridging into the XX century, two German astrologers confirmed the efficacy of Solar Arcs as an exacting prediction technique. Alfred White founded the well known Hamburg School of Astrology. He developed a complex system known as the Uranian Astrology. Reinold Ebertin ( 1901-1988) founded the Cosmobiological School of Astrology working with Midpoint synthesis and Solar Arcs.
Nowadays, Noel Tyl to me one of the most premiere astrologers of our Era, developed the theory. The Sun appears to move much more quickly during winter months than during the summer months. In the ephemeris, the Sun moves much more quickly during the months October to February. In the months Mars through September the Sun moves slower. Using Solar Arc theory one can look at horoscopes and see Solar Arc projections back into the past and ahead into the future at a glance. The premise of the principle is to increase uniformly in counter-clockwise motion to every planet and points { one degree of arc per year}. ½ degree of solar Arc application to partile is six months of time applying and six months of time separating.

Victoria was named Queen of England on 20 June 1837 one month after her 18 Th birthday. By using the one degree= one year we are able to clearly spot SAMh=Jupiter which is the most remarkable arc potential. This Arc without doubt suggests a time of great reward and recognition!
At the same and using the articulation with the Secondary Progressed Moon we see it exactly conjunct the Midheaven. Also, on that day( 20 June 1837) transiting Jupiter was at 16º Leo 06’ exactly opposite natal Jupiter, receiving the SA from the Midheaven.
