If you want to begin a new habit in 30 days, you can use the different faces we see from the Moon.
I highly recommend while you might have 3-5 habits you want to form, be aware you’ll decrease its effectiveness if you try to do more than one at a time.
Choose just one habit to focus on for one month (a whole period of the Moon’s cycle).
You can do the other habits in subsequent months:
·Take the first step when there is a New Moon, which is when it is virtually invisible. It happens when the Moon is in between the Sun and the Earth; we cannot see the Moon. It is called “new” because it is about to start a new lunar cycle. A new moon is the best time for seeding your hopes, wishes and dreams so it is the perfect day to the first step in. Commit in 10 minutes a day. This might sound too easy, but you will almost guarantee success if you do this. You can increase later. Try to remember that the picture you think, feel and see is reflected into the Universal Mind and by the law of the reciprocal action must return to you in either spiritual or physical form. During this conjunction between the two luminaries write out exactly your plan, what habit you are to form, which time during the day you’ll be doing it and establish also the personal rewards you might give yourself, and how you’ll overcome any potential obstacles. Realize that like the earth, half of the moon is always lighted by the sun at this point.
·Find a trigger. Find something you already do consistently every day- wake up, eat breakfast, brush your teeth, shower, arrive at work, have lunch, have dinner, anything- and tie your new thinking habit to this trigger. Do it every day right after this trigger.
·7 days later during the Waxing Moon day or First Quarter day give yourself rewards. In fact, give yourself a reward each of the first few days, and then weekly after that. In case of any obstacles, behave as previously defined.
·7 days later, in the Full Moon phase get a greater understanding of what you are constructing and forming it. Release the old and unwanted pattern of thought. You don’t need it anymore. Keep the positive attitude. In case of any thinking negative thoughts, squash them and replace them with the new habit. Feel your invincible spirit, feel your power. You can do it!
·The last period is the Waning- Last Quarter, which is the exact time for getting rid definitely of negative emotions, diseases, ailments, stress times associated with that form of thought. It really works.
